Sara Martí and Eva Aixelà met five years ago. Both were focused on their professional careers, but they became friends and Martí told Aixelà about a project she had in mind for a long time: creating her own cosmetic brand. She grew up in her mother's beauty salon, a universe that captivated her from a very young age. She ended up studying Design and started in the fashion sector. "But everything ended up leading me to cosmetics," Martí recalls, and she started working developing skin products for different brands. She always knew she wanted to create her own brand that "would bring together everything she had learned in each project." This is how Extra Wild was born, an eco-luxury and natural cosmetic brand, designed for women and men.

But she hasn't done it alone, Aixelà has joined Martí, contributing her professional experience in the business world, where she has touched a bit of everything. The co-creator of Extra Wild has always been passionate about beauty and skin care ---she trained in Aesthetics when she was young, although she never practiced---, and she ended up being carried away by Martí's vision and embarked on this new project, eager for it to be a success. From Martí's "dream" to the "passion" shared by both.
Martí felt ready to bring forward the idea she had been thinking about for so long at the beginning of this strange 2020. "The confinement came as a surprise, just when we had just been given the financing to start," explains Aixelà. Even so, they decided to continue: Martí had found the desire and time to do it and a pandemic was not going to stop it. In fact, having to be at home gave them the best excuse not to be entertained with other things and to be able to focus on the new project.
"The confinement came as a surprise, just when we had just been given the financing to start," explains AixelàAfter months of working, the launch of Extra Wildis about to become a reality.Initially, the brand will be distributed through its website ---without forgetting social media---, even though they do not rule out sales at physical points."We will create a community. Step by step. On Facebook and Instagram, we will put all our efforts into it," says Martí. They are very clear on how to do it and expect to reach a turnover of between 150,000 and 200,000 euros next year.
With an office in Sitges, they are now focused on the Christmas campaign, proposing a package consisting of their serum and facial cream. These are two of the products that are part of The Essentials line, which adapts to all skin types and acts according to the needs of each one. And they have focused on ensuring that they are ecological, with natural products and packaged in the most responsible way possible, minimizing plastics and using cardboard. Without forgetting an attractive design and even a unique and unconventional fragrance for their products ---they smell of figs, peach, blackcurrant, mint, cedar, sandalwood...---. As they say, they have taken care of every last detail.
