On a single street, it concentrates all the meals you might need. She struggles to get through between cars in a hurry and scooters in an even greater hurry, passers-by who don't take their eyes off their phones, and tourists laden with suitcases.
To the left, pizza for the days when she's stressed. Next door, the quick sandwich with bravas she has when she goes out. And, opposite, the Japanese place for the hangover the day after. She would have to walk a little further to get to the kebabs for when she's on her own. And to the set menu bar where she always orders escudella, butifarra, and flan. But today none of those options are on the menu.
It's a different night. She has to go back into that bodega where everything started without her realizing it. And she will order a beer again while she waits for him to remember how she discovered that feeling of being at home.
