Hotel Arts has decided to reopen Enoteca, the two-Michelin-starred restaurant led by chef Paco Pérez. The pandemic forced the establishment to close, and this weekend its stoves will be lit again with two seasonal menus designed for the enjoyment of Barcelona residents, who can also accompany the meal by staying overnight at the hotel.

Paco's Rice is the star proposal that Pérez has chosen for Enoteca's return. It is a menu that will be served only on Sundays at noon, starting this February 14, and features a surf and turf rice, combining black truffle harvested in the forests of Centelles (Osona), with sea urchin typical of the coast of Llançà (Alt Empordà) from which Pérez originates.

"We want our clients to recreate a special Sunday at Enoteca, as a couple or with family, with seasonal and local products," explains the chef, whose restaurants hold five Michelin stars. "It is the best time to enjoy black truffle and sea urchins, as well as the first peas and other seasonal flavors," he points out.

The menu Paco's Rice will cost 85 euros per person and is complemented by a glass of Vardon Kennett, the sparkling wine that Familia Torres wineries produce in Penedès, and three starters: an earthy consommé, a foie and truffle fritter, and amberjack with pistachios and caviar. After the creamy truffle and sea urchin rice, a dessert made with cocoa skins, sponge cake, chocolate, and toffee is served.

For its reopening, Enoteca has also designed an eleven-dish tasting menu for diners to experience a complete gastronomic experience in a two-Michelin-starred restaurant. According to Pérez, it is a dinner proposal designed for two people that aims to bring the personality of Alt Empordà to Barcelona. Again, the rice with black truffle and sea urchins is the protagonist of this menu, which includes appetizers and small dishes such as coca de recapte, ham with tomato and razor clams, salpicón tartlet, tuna loin with sea urchins and caviar, or Llavaneras peas with truffle and espardenyes. In addition to the rice, main courses include sea bass in seaweed or smoked wagyu with gnocchi and café de Paris sauce.

The white color bathed by the Mediterranean light characterizes the dining room of the Enoteca restaurant.

The Hotel Arts markets this tasting menu packaged within a proposal that also includes accommodation in one of the rooms or suites of one of Barcelona's most important five-star hotels, which stands out for the spectacular views it offers from its rooms. This package, which in addition to dinner includes breakfast the next day, costs a minimum of 500 euros for two people; the final price varies depending on the room and the day chosen to spend the night at the hotel.
