Enerbío arrives in Israel with the sale of 25 tons of pellets

Pellet is a biofuel made from sawdust and wood shavings, which is converted into thermal energy through stoves and boilers, in a process more economical than that of fossil fuels and with a lower environmental impact

The company from Sant Martí d'Albars has closed an order with one of the main installers of pellet stoves and boilers in Israel to export this material, commercially entering the country. In addition to this first sale in Israel, it also exports its products to Italy, France, and Morocco.

"Opening new markets is positive, because our goal is to achieve the highest possible market share percentage," says Enerbío's commercial manager, Montse Lleonart. "This has meant planting the first seed to introduce our product in Israel, which we hope will allow us to study who the new potential clients in this country might be and continue working to reach more markets," she adds.

For its expansion into Israel, the company has had the support of Acció's Foreign Office for Commerce and Investments in Tel Aviv, in a negotiation that was carried out entirely virtually, without having to physically travel anywhere.

This project arose thanks to the Israeli company's search for pellet suppliers in the Catalonia Industry Suppliers directory, a digital platform launched last March. It is the first directory that brings together industrial companies from Catalonia with the aim of boosting the internationalization of its industrial fabric, with information on 3,000 companies to facilitate their international connection and for them to become suppliers worldwide.

Founded in 2005, Enerbío has 75 employees and a production capacity of 80,000 tons of pellet. The Catalan company manufactures ENplus A1 and DINplus certified pellet, the highest certifications at Spanish and European level. It also has the Catforest certificate, which guarantees that the wood it uses comes from Catalan forests.
