Empatif is determined to double its turnover next year. With this objective, the Catalan family group of comprehensive human resources and occupational risk prevention solutions has acquired the Galician ETT Micofer 2000, a reference company in Galicia in the temporary employment sector founded in 1998.
With the operation, the Catalan company based in Manresa will increase its business volume from 30 million in turnover to 53 million this year, adding Micofer's 23 million. Thus, Empatif advances on its path to reach a turnover of 60 million euros next year, doubling the figure prior to the purchase of the Galician company.
With five offices in Galicia, Micofer offers temporary staff management solutions, and is one of the most common companies in providing services for fish processing factories or canneries in Galicia. The company currently has 22 employees, who will be integrated into Empatif.
Before formalizing the acquisition of Micofer, Empatif already opened an office in A Coruña this year. The Catalan group also has operational delegations in Madrid and Zaragoza, in addition to Catalonia.
Thus, with the acquisition of Micofer, the company wants to strengthen its presence in Galicia, as well as "accelerate growth and continue to be leaders in temporary employment services, recruiting, outsourcing, training and occupational risk prevention," according to Empatif's CEO, Albert Bartomeus.
The Manresa-based company's strategic plan goes beyond 2025, and aims to reach 100 million euros in turnover by 2029. Within this strategy, it will bet on digitalization, technological innovation in the sector and "proximity and agility."
With more than three decades of experience, Empatif has a workforce of about 2,050 employees. With its team, the company has managed more than 26,500 employment contracts this year, a figure it wants to continue expanding in the coming years.
