Sit back and enjoy outdoors the new proposals presented by the promises of the musical fabric. Four emerging artists await you in a new edition of Els Vespres de la UB, organized by the Barcelona university every summer. For some years now, it has been held at the Agustí Pedro i Pons estate, located at the foot of Collserola, thus abandoning its traditional location, the historic building in Plaza Universitat.
This year's lineup will kick off with the folk-rock of Marta Knight ---Tuesday, July 5---. It will continue with the pop of Ven'nus ---Thursday, July 7--- and the Caribbean rhythms of Palmerita Coco Blue ---Tuesday, July 12---. The last act of the musical cycle will be performed by Pinpilinpussies ---Thursday, July 14---.
Els Vespres de la UB has become one of the benchmark musical events of the Barcelona summer, as well as representing a showcase for the most unique new works on the current scene. All this, with the aim of promoting culture and emerging music in complicity with local labels and city agents.
The Agustí Pedro i Pons estate, with exceptional views of Barcelona, offers a unique setting for outdoor concerts. It can be reached by public transport and is five minutes from the Ferrocarrils Peu del Funicular station.
The Els Vespres de la UB concerts will start at 8:30 PM, but access to the venue will be available from 7:30 PM. Once the performances are over, and until closing time, the public can enjoy a DJ session by Sin Sync DJs.
The ticket, which must be reserved in advance, includes a drink and costs five euros. There will also be a bar service, with burgers from Caravan Made. The artistic direction and production are handled by the cooperative L'Afluent and the concerts are sponsored by Moritz.
