Marc Murtra joins the board of directors of a second listed company on the Spanish Stock Exchange. After assuming the presidency of the technology group Indra last year, the executive has now been hired by Ebro Foods as an independent director and member of two of the most relevant committees of the board of directors: the executive committee and the audit and control committee. Murtra will fill the vacancy of Pedro Antonio Zorrero, who resigned from the position in December.

Murtra is also a trustee of the La Caixa Banking Foundation, president of the Barcelona-based mergers and acquisitions consultancy Closa Investment Bankers, and an associate professor of Financial Management and Financial Economics at Pompeu Fabra University, where he teaches undergraduate students of Business Administration and Management and Economics. Previously, he had worked at DiamondCluster and in public administration, where he was director of Red.es, chief of staff for the Minister of Industry, and manager of Education, Culture and Welfare at the Barcelona City Council.
