This week is serving the new Bàsquet Girona players to acclimatize to the city and undergo the relevant medical examinations. A few days before starting with training, the players are passing their check-ups at Clínica Diagonal, located in Esplugues de Llobregat. They do so with the support of FIATC, Bàsquet Girona's main partner.

Monday was Jaume Sorolla's turn and Thursday was that of two newcomers, Stefan Đorđević and Sergi Martínez. Đorđević arrives at Fontajau from Igokea of the Adriatic League. According to the Serbian pivot, the new stage "is a big step for his career." "I try to compete at the highest level in one of the main European leagues. This motivates me to keep working and be ready for next season. I'm looking forward to meeting the team, the fans, and Fontajau," he declares.

For his part, Sergi Martínez, who knows the league well after playing the last four seasons with Barça, feels "very proud to represent this great team." For Martínez, who arrives on loan from the Barça team, the new season with Bàsquet Girona is "an opportunity to grow the project and grow as a player."

After the medical review, both players are ready to put themselves under the orders of the Girona coaching staff starting next Monday, the day on which Bàsquet Girona will begin training for its second season in the ACB.

The squad, which this year will be led by Salva Camps, will feature seven new faces, in addition to Đorđević and Martínez, Marcos, Iroegbu, Brown, Pons, and Sušinskas will debut. All of them will be accompanied by the players already present last season (Sorolla, Vila, Fjellerup, and Colom).
