The city's last big festival is warming up to raise the curtain this week. After Primavera Sound and Sónar, Cruïlla 2023 faces a new edition with a lineup of almost 60 artists who will perform on five stages, with headliners such as Placebo, Sigur Rós, Franz Ferdinand, The Offspring, Leiva, Antònia Font, Rubén Blades, Viva Suecia and Amaia. From Wednesday to Saturday, the Parc del Fòrum will once again be filled with music, recovering the four days of the festival after the pandemic years.
Wednesday, July 5, will kick off with Nicki Nicole, Sen Senra, Delaossa, Cruz Cafuné, Wos, Rusowsky, La Élite, Las ninyas del Corro, Santa Salut, Triquell, Lia Kali, Yeico X Toni and Tesa.
Thursday, July 6, will have a strong Latin American accent. It will be the turn of Rubén Blades, Bomba Estéreo, Omara Portuondo, Los Van Van, Miss Bolivia, Nanpa Básico. The local flavor will be provided by Judit Nedderman, Lal'Ba, Nico Roig, Iseo & Dodosound and Rodrigo Cuevas. Tash Sultana will close an intense day.
Friday, July 7, will be packed with internationally renowned artists such as The Offspring, Sigur Rós, Alt-J and Franz Ferdinand. There will also be great national groups such as Viva Suecia, Carolina Durante, Sidonie, Cala Vento, Cupido, Ladilla Rusa, DJ Nacho Ruiz, The Guapos, Ciudad Jara, Sexy Zebras, Peces Raros, Menta, Victorias and Pinpilinpussies.
Finally, Saturday, July 8, will feature a strong national presence and will include Placebo, Leiva, Antònia Font, Moderat, Parov Stelar, Amaia, Dani Fernández, Stay Homas, Pau Vallvé, Ramon Mirabet, Carlangas, Suu, Shego, Renaldo & Clara, Mourn and Sienna.
Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday and 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while on Friday and Saturday they will open at 6:00 p.m.
As in other festivals, the only payment method will be the cashless wristbands that will be given at the entrance to the venue and that will have to be charged via mobile, without physical charging points at the venue. Any money not spent will be automatically refunded days later. If it is less than 2 euros, it will not be refunded and will be donated to Oxfam Intermón.
To get to the Fòrum Park, it must be remembered that metro line 4, the closest one, is undergoing improvement works this summer, the time of year with fewer users and, therefore, less impact. Until July 31, the yellow line does not operate between Bogatell and Verdaguer, a section that includes the stops of Ciutadella Vila Olímpica, Barceloneta, Jaume I, Urquinaona, Paseo de Gràcia and Girona. This summer, the tram line that reaches the Fòrum is also closed for improvement works. A bus has been enabled that covers the affected sections with, for example, one that goes from Glòries to the Fòrum. In public transport, other available options, beyond taking the yellow line to La Pau and Bogatell to transfer to other lines, will be night bus lines N6 and N7, as well as Bicing.
Cruïlla 2023 has enabled shuttle buses to various points in the city, as well as Baix Llobregat, Vallès Occidental and Maresme. Moventis will operate them and there will be a total of 10 lines available. Until all available seats are exhausted, the ticket price will be 10.75 euros for Barcelona routes and 15 euros for interurban services.
