The company led by Timo Buetefisch continues to expand across Europe. After offering its shared motorcycle service in Lisbon, Rome, and Milan, Cooltra is betting on Paris, where it expects to attract 100,000 users in its first year of operation. The vehicles will be available 24 hours a day, every day of the week, in the central area of the city, covering about 105 square kilometers.

To achieve this, Cooltra will deploy a fleet of 2,000 motorcycles across the French capital, which it will complete by September. "We have long had the ambition to bring our motosharing service to Paris, one of the cities most committed to shared mobility, and we are ready to offer a sustainable and quality service in the territory," says the company's co-founder and CEO, Timo Buetefisch.

This company, founded in 2016, already has a fleet of over 16,000 motorcycles that can be rented through its application, with 1.3 million users. In addition to the European capitals where it is present, it operates in Barcelona, Madrid, and Valencia. In addition to motorcycle rental, it currently offers services such as corporate rentals and fleet management for companies and administrations.

A few weeks ago, Cooltra strengthened its capital structure by bringing in the president of the Gestamp group, Francisco Riberas, who has invested around 20 million in the company and controls 20% of the capital. Cooltra had a turnover of 39 million in 2019.
