Coca-Cola Europacific Partners joins the America's Cup. The soft drink brand has signed an agreement with the organizers of the nautical competition to become a sponsor of its 37th edition, which will be held in Barcelona next year.

"Coca-Cola has always been present in the most important sporting events in the world," the company states. However, in this case, they emphasize, the agreement will go beyond sports sponsorship, as it will also implement initiatives within the framework of sustainability.

In this regard, during the regatta months, Coca-Cola will promote the use of returnable glass. It will also carry out beach clean-up actions through its Mares Circulares program, with which it has recovered more than 1,800 tons of waste in Spain since 2018.

For the company, the agreement also allows reaffirming Coca-Cola's relationship with the city, where it has one of the largest production plants in Europe, located in Martorelles. "This agreement allows us to reinforce our commitment to Barcelona, supporting the local economy and making a positive difference in Catalan society," says the general director of Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, Francesc Cosano.
