The Comellas family, owner of 50% of the Catalan company Circutor, specialized in energy efficiency and quality of the electrical grid, has acquired the entire capital of the company, by purchasing the 50% it did not yet control from the other founding family of the company, the Pons. The purchase, of which the amount has not been disclosed, implies the reorganization of the group with headquarters in Viladecavalls, which has six production centers in Spain and the Czech Republic.

The control of the group implies that the sole shareholder of Circutor will manage the companies Intercap, Zurc, Dezac and Disibeint, whose capital it shared equally with the Pons family. The Comellas family was already the sole owner of the firms Circontrol, Pickdata, Ciresearch and Aplitech.

In this new stage, the group "grows in people and turnover, consolidating its commitment to the territory, to the human team and to innovation as drivers of growth," company sources assure. In 2021, the group had revenues of 130 million euros, a figure that it aims to raise to 150 million in 2022.

Headed by the companies Circutor and Circontrol ---manufacturer of domestic and public electric charging points, with a business of more than 50 million---, the group will have a team of more than 800 people, a catalog of more than 3,000 products and commercial presence in more than 100 countries, all of them focused on providing technological solutions for the world of electrical energy efficiency.

The company produces equipment for measuring and controlling electrical energy and supply quality, industrial electrical production, or intelligent charging of electric vehicles and renewable energies, among other products.

The Circutor group has six production centers in Spain and the Czech Republic.

Under the management of Joan and Núria Comellas, members of the second generation, the continuity of the industrial project started in 1973 by then students and friends Ramon Comellas and Ramon Pons, in Terrassa, will be reinforced. In its beginnings, they manufactured transformers and differential relays to provide solutions to the problems that, in that decade, the application of a new Low Voltage Electrical Regulation entailed.

Over the years, the group has specialized in technological solutions for energy efficiency, among which stand out chargers for electric vehicles, measurement equipment, analysis, industrial protections, electrical grid quality equipment, renewables, and industrial data capture solutions.
