Between measure and impulse, between precision and intuitive drive, Seny i rauxa. Noticia de la arquitectura catalana explores the duality between these two antagonistic forces that have been shaping Catalan architecture over time. The exhibition, thus, does not propose a linear and chronological narrative, but a thematic reading where seny and rauxa appear in continuous dialogue, recognizing each other in different eras, materials, and ways of understanding space. Paintings, sculptures, furniture, and other creations coexist with architectural projects to broaden this view of Catalan architecture, at a time when it is projected to the world through the World Capital of Architecture. The result is a journey that not only shows, but invites us to think about architecture as a living space and its tangible legacy in the city.
