Barcelona prepares to experience one of the most special days of the year, with roses and books invading every corner of the city. To celebrate Sant Jordi, CASA SEAT has prepared an extensive program for all audiences that, under the motto Where art flourishes, combines urban art exhibitions and book signings by prominent authors, as well as music and gastronomy.
On April 23, CASA SEAT, located in the great literary block of Passeig de Gràcia, will be the meeting point for a total of 17 authors who will converse with their readers and sign copies of their works, in a literary day that will begin at ten in the morning and last until eight at night.
In the morning, Nagore Suárez, Beatriz Roger, Luiso Soldevila, Supersubmarina, Ángela Quinta, Íker Ruiz, Carolina Iglesias, Jesús Cañadas, Arnau París, Manuel Loureiro and Santi Giménez will be signing their latest works. In the afternoon, it will be the turn of Joan Dausà, Paula Monreal, Rosa Lucena, Joana Marcús, Mikecrack, Timba VK, Trollino, Andrea Longarela, Vicente Garrido and Nahir Gutiérrez.
In addition to the encounters with prominent authors, those who come to CASA SEAT during Sant Jordi's Day will also be able to visit the exhibition Forbidden Kisses by TVBoy, already a classic of the space's programming, in which the artist celebrates the union of opposites, in an increasingly polarized world. Through a series of works that are both provocative and poetic, the artist portrays ideological, cultural and emotional rivals who meet to merge in an intimate kiss. For sports fans, the space also hosts the exhibition Els tresors blaugranes, which revives the most iconic moments of Barça's 125-year history and includes unpublished works that will see the light for the first time.
To accompany this day, the space will also feature a special menu, which fuses local flavors with innovative touches, and live music concerts. On April 22 at seven in the evening, the space will kick off the Sant Jordi celebration with the concert Las trece, una rosa i alguna cançó, a show between documentary theater and musical that narrates the harshness of the gray years of the war. On April 23, CASA SEAT will become a place where sound contrasts will flourish, from music played from the DJ Set to the melody of the grand piano that will be installed in front of the space for those who dare to play and share their music.
During the Sant Jordi celebration, roses cannot be missing either. CASA SEAT will join the solidarity cause of the Nexe Foundation, which will be selling felt roses throughout the day to raise funds to support families with children with multiple disabilities.
