With the reactivation of international tours, Barcelona is preparing for a musical season worthy of framing. When the city had already assimilated the returns of Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, Coldplay, and Beyoncé, the legendary Bob Dylan has decided to join the list.
The composer, singer, and Nobel Prize in Literature will perform a double concert at the Liceu, where he premiered on his last stop in Barcelona in 2018. Framed within the Guitar BCN festival, organized by the promoter The Project, the concert dates will be June 23 and 24, as an unexpected complement to one of the most popular festivities in the Catalan capital. Tickets will go on sale next Wednesday, March 15, at 10 in the morning.
Bob Dylan will arrive in Barcelona immersed in his world tour Rough and Rowdy Ways Tour, with a repertoire focused on his ninth studio album. The tour began in November 2021 in Milwaukee (Wisconsin) and will last until 2024. In Spain, he will also perform in Madrid, Granada, Alicante, Logroño, Huesca, and San Sebastián.
Beyond the price they will have to pay to see Bob Dylan live, with the expectation that it will be high considering how post-coronavirus concerts have returned, attendees will have to accept another condition: they will not be able to use their mobile phone. As explained by the organizers, a case company hired for the concert will provide each attendee with a sealed case in which to store their phone throughout the show. And, for those who worry about photos and videos for Instagram, those taken by the tour photographer, who will upload them every night, will be made available to everyone.
