The celebration of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) and the sessions organized by its business platform for startups 4YFN (4 Years From Now) is the framework chosen by various entities as a meeting place and promotion for emerging companies. Among them, Banco Sabadell, which, through the BStartup program, supports 62 companies in their development in the preseed phase.
In this year's edition ---the eighth since the creation of 4YFN---, Banco Sabadell will present 20 seed-stage startups in the fields of sustainability and social impact, deeptech, health innovation, and B2C businesses, on which it considers there is "a promising" growth option in the medium term.
Apart from the BStartup program, which provides specialized banking and equity investment, Banco Sabadell already has 4,000 startups among its clients.
Specifically, until Thursday, the projects and experiences of A planet, Saigu, Wegaw, Qida, or Moa Foodtech, on social issues, will be presented. Also Napptive, Amphora, Qbeast, Froged, and Incapto Coffee. Similarly, Dive Medical, Sycai Medical, Inbrain Neuroelectronics, Miwendo, and Gate2Brain will be exhibited. Finally, there will be a session for Exoticca, Stayforlong, MiCuento, AElnova, and Mondo.
Banco Sabadell participates in the event with its own program at its stand with presentations by some directors of areas related to investment and innovation of the bank and the collaboration of other entities from the startup ecosystem who will talk about topics as diverse as health innovation, legaltech, agrotech, success stories, how to sell more, or how to attract talent. "The entity not only advises on financial matters," emphasizes Yolanda Pérez, director of BStartup.
In this regard, several debates will be held, among them, How I sold my startup, which will address the process and keys to selling a startup based on the experience of three large Spanish companies sold in 2021 for between 130 and 230 million euros. For this, this session will feature María Alegre from Charboost, Xavi Pladellorens from Deporvillage, and Javi Fondevila from Holded.
In another panel, investment capital trends will be presented by international funds Cathay Innovation, G P Bullhound, Seedcamp, and Elaia.
"At 4YFN-MWC, the future is built; many of the startups we will see in this edition will become large companies, as has already happened in previous editions, and we collaborate with them especially from our expertise as a bank. Our goal is to give them the attention and range of specialized financial products they require and accompany them in their growth," added Carlos Ventura, general director and director of Business Banking and Network at Banco Sabadell.
