The padel universe platform that connects players, clubs, coaches, and brands AppPadel has taken a decisive step to accelerate its growth: the investment fund MCA Capital Partners has become its strategic financial partner. With this operation, the project promoted by Barcelona entrepreneurs will expand its team of professionals, with which it aims to also increase its customer base.

Increasing the number of clubs managed by the app is another objective that the operation will facilitate, which has been finalized with the amortization of the company's treasury stock and an equivalent capital increase subscribed by the investment fund, for an amount that has not been detailed. In addition, its entry into the company will allow the implementation of various already developed programs that aim to position AppPadel as the most complete app worldwide for both amateurs and professionals of this sport.

Currently, AppPadel manages 180 clubs and tournaments, a figure that the company estimates will increase to 400 by the end of 2024. The app is present in a dozen countries, including Mexico, Kuwait, and the United States, among others.

Spain leads the number of operational padel courts, with 15,300, after inaugurating 1,300 last year
MCA Capital Partners already has experience in the world of padel, precisely in the US market: the fund owns the largest padel club in Miami, Wynwood Padel Club, which will be expanded to triple its size in the coming months.

The founder of AppPadel, Roger Llohis, has maintained that MCA Capital Partners, led by its head Sergio Montaner, represents the "perfect ally due to its experience in the capital market and the advice it can offer internally as a strategic partner."

This sport is emerging in new regions, while also seeing an increase in the number of available courts and its professionalization.
The AppPadel team works with the forecast that the padel business will double in the next two years, reaching 6 billion euros in 2026. In fact, Spain leads the number of operational padel courts, with 15,300.

Spain is first in the ranking after inaugurating 1,300 courts last year, and in a context where this sport is emerging in new regions, while the number of available courts and its professionalization are increasing. Given this situation, the app promoted from the Catalan capital aspires to rise as the sector grows.
