Psquared has raised 40 million euros from a group of family offices from the United States, Argentina, and Uruguay to boost its growth plan in Barcelona, focused on the search for "unique" architectural spaces to transform them into workplaces adapted to the new needs of companies.
Co-founded in Barcelona by Nicolás Manrique and Nicolás Araujo, Psquared already raised two million at the beginning of the year in a round led by the American fund Inn Capital and has set out to "recover distinctive spaces in the city, to recycle and retransform them into workspaces focused on talent and adapted to the new reality."
The company seeks abandoned buildings, old factories, parking lots, and other types of disused properties to reincorporate them into the real estate circuit by transforming them into offices. "We are convinced that we can develop many more 22@ in Barcelona. It's about transforming square meters into Psquared meters, that is, into hybrid spaces where talent loves to work, jewels of the city's historical architecture that come back to life," explains Manrique, with more than 12 years of experience in the real estate and construction sector and co-founder of Estudio Cuervo.
One of the buildings that Psquared is transforming is The Haus, on Roger de Flor street. The proptech will also invest six million in an entire building of 1,885 square meters in Poblenou that will have capacity for 240 people. The company's goal is to create a portfolio of flexible offices for a total of 3,000 workers, ranging from one thousand to five thousand square meters.
