New milestone for Housfy, the Barcelona-based proptech founded by Albert Bosch, Carlos Blanco, and Miquel A. Mora. The company, born with the aim of reinventing the real estate intermediation sector, has closed a new financing round of ten million euros, which will be allocated to the firm's international growth and the development of new applications and services for the platform. Some funds that had already participated in previous rounds, such as Seaya Ventures, Torch Capital DN Capital, and Cathay Capital, have subscribed to the capital increase.

The big news is the incorporation of Aldea Ventures as a Housfy shareholder. Aldea Ventures is the new venture capital firm founded in Barcelona in the midst of the pandemic by Josep Duran, Alfonso Bassols, Gonzalo Rodés, Carlos Trenchs, and Meridia Capital, Javier Faus's investment group. Aldea's objective is to invest in technology companies across Europe with a hybrid model, combining direct investment in startups and participation in venture capital funds managed by third parties. Last March, Aldea announced that it had raised 60 million euros, with the goal of increasing fundraising to one hundred million euros by the end of 2021.

In addition to Aldea, the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI), under the Ministry of Science and Innovation, also joins Housfy's capital.

With this round, the startup raises the resources captured since its birth in Barcelona in 2017 to 22 million. In addition to operating in Spain, Housfy has expanded to Portugal and Italy, with a special focus on the Catalan capital and the cities of Madrid, Valencia, Malaga, Lisbon, Porto, Milan, and Rome, all with a high volume of real estate transactions. Thanks to its strong growth rate, more than 200 people already work at Housfy's headquarters in 22@.

Housfy mediates the purchase and rental of homes, the contracting of home services, and the search for financing.

According to the company, it has so far brokered the sale of 5,000 homes, positioning itself as one of the five largest real estate agencies in Spain. In addition, Housfy has entered the mortgage business as a broker and has managed the signing of 2,000 loans. Housfy's growth and differentiation lever in the market is a totally digital business model that allows cost savings and, according to the company, "translates into savings for home buyers that reaches 20,000 euros per transaction."

Albert Bosch, CEO of Housfy, highlights that part of the resources from the new financing round will also be used to improve the usability of the real estate platform. "We want to continue growing and investing in user experience; there is no technology that is worthwhile without a good customer experience, that is our biggest focus now," emphasizes the entrepreneur, focused on "the simplification of the real estate sector."
