This Friday, July 30, the deadline ends for applying for the extraordinary direct aid from the Govern for business solvency, aimed at companies and self-employed professionals with high indebtedness in 2020 due to Covid-19. This is a call that includes all activities, as a result of the agreement with social agents, in order to support the sectors affected by the crisis, with a budget of 463 million euros. Applications can be submitted electronically through the Canal Empresa portal.

The prior registration is the only step required to apply, and applicants who meet the established requirements can benefit from the aid until the funds are exhausted. The chronological order of submission will not be taken into account for the concession.

The amounts granted will be up to 3,000 euros if taxed by modules, and between 4,000 and 200,000 euros for other companies and professionals. The aid will in no case be greater than the accredited debt.

Aid resulting from the pact with social agents

This line of aid is the result of an agreement between the Govern and unions and employers' associations to grant the 993 million euros from Royal Decree-Law 5/2021 and is aimed at satisfying debt and payments to suppliers and other creditors, financial or non-financial, as well as fixed costs incurred pending payment.

This is an extension of the call with the remaining funds from the first one, where the same indebtedness criteria must be met, but it is now open to all economic sectors, except those expressly excluded in the RDL, such as the financial sector.

WHO CAN RECEIVE THE AID AND WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

The beneficiaries

  • Additionally, applicants who pay taxes under the direct estimation regime in IRPF, Corporate Tax or Income Attribution must prove eligible outstanding debts equal to or greater than 4,000 euros and a decrease of more than 30% compared to 2019 in the annual volume of operations.

Once the aid is granted, beneficiaries must comply with a series of obligations, such as committing to maintain the activity for at least one year, until July 30, 2022, or not distributing dividends between this fiscal year and the next.
