The Barcelona-based company Agile Content, specialized in offering video distribution and digital television solutions, accelerates its growth with the acquisition of the Portuguese company WeTek, specialized in the development of devices for the digital distribution of content. The operation will serve to strengthen the Catalan company's position in the Portuguese market, as well as to expand its range of services.
The CEO of Agile Content, Hernan Scapusio, considers the acquisition a "key piece" to continue offering customers the most complete television services. For his part, the CEO of WeTek, Hugo Condesa, believes that together they will have "a significant impact on the video and entertainment consumption experience."
This is the third acquisition in less than a year for the Catalan company Agile Content. In 2020, it acquired the Swedish company Edgeware. And in mid-April of this year, it was the turn of the Spanish company Fon. Both are specialized in content distribution. Now, with the acquisition of WeTek, Agile Content expands its product line and consolidates itself as a leader in the sector.
