The New York Times, with a total of 125 awards, heads the ranking of the media that have won more Pulitzer Prizes throughout the history of these awards, the main ones in the journalistic world.
The newspaper obtained three Pulitzer in this year’s edition, whose winners were announced on Monday April 16 in New York City.

The second media with the highest number of Pulitzer prizes is The Washington Post, which has 65 after the two victories in this year’s edition.
In addition to the aforementioned award in the National category, shared with the NYT, the Post has won in the category of Investigative Reporting for its reports on the supposed cases of sexual harassment of the candidate for Alabama Senator Roy Moore committed decades ago.
The other three media with more Pulitzer prizes accumulated throughout history have not added new prizes this year. These are Associated Press (52 awards), Los Angeles Times (46) and The Wall Street Journal (37).
In this year’s edition, the Reuters agency has won two awards: international journalism and photography. It’s the first time that Reuters gets two Pulitzer in the same year.
