Brief description of company and business model

Engidi is a startup, based in Barcelona, focused on the design and development of wearable devices for job security. Our device, integrated into a protective helmet (EPI), monitors workers in the industrial sector in terms of health and safety. The parameters that are monitored are: check-in and check-out, correct use of the helmet, the altitude which the worker is at, impacts and falls, and thermal stress. The device also has an alarm button to send notifications in real time in case of an accident and it also provides the geolocation of the worker. The service is offered at € 1 / day / worker including the device, loading displays, access to the data display platform and a consultancy service to train the teams in the use of the service.

Inspiration? A model, company or business person/entrepreneur?

The new business model for the sale of aviation engines of Rolls-Royce, which has modified its activity to not only sell motors but to sell the hours of flight of its engine. This new business model is a paradigm shift in the sector and an indication that the pay-by-use model is the upward trend in both B2B and B2C companies.
